I can barely remember what my life was like before I had my children. It seems in so many ways, that they have always been with me, and every day gets more and more difficult to think back to the days when I slept for 8 hours at a time without someone calling for me. And I had a clean car.
I think this is one of the biggest reasons that I love maternity sessions so much....especially with first time parents. It's a glimpse back in time, and it makes me nostalgic for those days in the past, when life was so simple and my house was so clean. But it also reminds me how eternally grateful I am for the days I now get to live.
These beautiful people started with me in the city. With their dog who looks like he has flippers for feet!
The sun began to set.....and we drove to the country. (Ok, it's not really the country. It's the parking lot of Home Depot, but who's counting?!?) And my absolutely gorg client wearing a NON-MATERNITY dress from Anthro.
I left the session feeling all warm and cozy inside. I also left wanting these three things: her dress from Anthropologie, a dog with flippers and another baby. I'll think I'll settle for the dress.

lovely maternity shoot -- beautiful color + light. and you're right, that dress is FAB. great example that bright + bold can work very well for pregnancy portraits too.
